CROW RIVER ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER

Another Day on the CREEC.
A BLOG ABOUT BRINGING PEOPLE AND NATURE
TOGETHER ALONG THE CROW RIVER.
WELCOME,
Crow River Environmental Education Center (CREEC) is a nonprofit, environmentally-based education center located on the Crow River in Saint Michael, MN. Sitting on 10 acres of land, CREEC is able to provide a unique experience for all community members who are looking to reconnect with their local environment.
Here at CREEC, we believe that environmental education is a crucial step in creating a solution to our seemingly ongoing environmental crisis. We understand that in modern society, it’s becoming increasingly popular to consider oneself at least somewhat of an environmentalist. Whether that’s through the use of public transportation to reduce one’s carbon footprint or simply remembering to recycle plastic, sustainability continues to be a hot topic issue. However, it is apparent to us that there is still a sense of disconnect between humanity and the natural world; and that’s why we are here. We hope that by providing opportunities for environmental education in a unique setting of an urban area within a river valley, we will be able to get rid of that disconnect and allow for people to become more aware of their positive and negative impacts on their surrounding environments.
Seeking to promote environmental awareness, Crow River Environmental Education Center brings people and nature together through educational opportunities so that we may all become stewards of the earth.
Thank you for joining us in our mission. We're excited to share our knowledge and experiences with you.
